I heard something during a sermon in church recently. My pastor may have said it directly, or I paraphrased it slightly as I was writing it down, but I consider it worth keeping in mind: “Humility is a willingness to be embarrassed for a righteous cause.”

I've been more successful than I thought at indoctrinating my son in love of Star Trek. I've worked a lot less hard on that than I have at making him a Christian, so this is a good sign.

There aren’t many Disney movies made for boys anymore. If you look at the past 10 years of Disney animated movies, they’ve overwhelmingly been either female-centric or geared toward girls. Even the latest Toy Story movie followed Jessie and seemed aimed more toward young girls. It’s time we start making movies for the boys again. Movies that call them to take risks and go on epic adventures and challenge the nonsensical tropes that are faced with in modernity.
