Not a fan of what's going on in Iran, the US shouldn't have gotten involved. My new hope is US involvement will be over by April. But if history tells us anything, that's probably not going to happen.
I would be less critical if we were addressing domestic issues as aggressively as foreign ones.
It's definitely good to prioritize domestic over foreign issues. I think it's also good to ensure that "foreign issues" are also intertwined with domestic issues, and a war in Iran, like the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Lybia, Egypt, Lebanon, and maybe more I'm forgetting, are all about Israel to the detriment of America.
I'm proud of my daughter and son in law and thankful to the Lord that they are already turning out to be a great mom and dad! New grandbaby is almost 3 weeks old.

Israel is Christ and, by union with Him, the covenant people of God. Those who share Abraham’s faith, whether Jew or Gentile. It is not an ethnic nation or geopolitical state, but the fulfilled, expanded people of God in the New Covenant, the true heir of the promises.
If you're old enough to remember when U2 didn't suck, you're older than dirt.
Most songs from The Joshua Tree and earlier are really good. Some early favorites are; The Unforgettable Fire, New Year's Day, Sunday Bloody Sunday, Gloria, 40, Bad, Red Hill Mining Town, In God's Country, One Tree Hill, Exit.
Pondering about my BJJ matches over the weekend. I think I take too much pride in my wrestling. It lead to me trying to win the takedown instead of zooming out to win the match. Standing for too long didn’t give me enough time to score on the ground. I need to tighten my half guard game to be confident. Shoot takedown early and sit back into guard if it fails.

Built and stretched 7 canvases today. I found a good deal on 1" x 2" wood strips at Lowe's. I cut the wood on 45° corners and used a hand plane on the inner edges to round off the edges so as to not leave a line when I paint. I fixed the corners together with a staple gun. These are raw canvases and will need to go through a 4 step process of priming before I can even begin to paint. Because linseed oil and cotton canvas are both organic materials, they will rot if there's not a barrier between the two. In the old days, they used rabbit skin glue but I use a synthetic material called PCV. It will be two layers of PCV then two layers of acrylic gesso and then a thinned down layer of oil paint in a neutral mid tone color. That first layer is called the imprinatura or "ground" because everything else will grow from there.
Sometimes I buy cheap store bought canvases but there's something cathardic in going through the whole process.
That's impressive! I can't make it a whole day without caving ... Also, since you are verified, did you know you can post "public" OR to "verified" only? I'm looking forward to the demo tonight :) hoping you can be a primary poster here (and want to learn what would incentivize you to). FWIW we don't agree on religious stuff, but I admire lots about you, especially your discipline.

I painted a picture of a Horse With No Name. Stick around to the end to see the finished work.
About 8 hours. The video only caught the first 3 hours because it ran out of memory.
Are you using the timelapse feature on your phone? Or are you recording the entire 8 hours then speeding it up in post edit?
Sped up in edit. After 3 hours of recording, phone "dinged" with a notice that I was almost out of memory. I sped up the footage in a free video editor YouCut.
I highly recommend using the timelapse feature on your phone (iPhone definitely has it) or find an app. Much less battery and storage usage!
I found the hyper-lapse feature on my phone; I'll give that a try next time. Thanks.
Oh boy, so much. 1. Get a big feature pushed out for my day job. Huge feature. 2. Progress on #MenOfHunger 3. Tomorrow is Kat's 20 week ultrasound :) we get to see our daughter more clearly, which is exciting 4. Get the house in order You?
1. Manage weight for BJJ tournaments this weekend 2. Create solid testing for the epic I am tasked with at Amazon 3. Coinbase phone screen interview
Good luck on #3, but for what it's worth, you are posting this in a `public` thread! :)
