Men of Hunger API terms

These terms apply to any application ("your app") that uses the Men of Hunger Partner API, including OAuth sign-in, read endpoints and webhooks. By requesting or using API credentials you agree to them, in addition to the Men of Hunger Terms and Privacy Policy.

Access

  • Credentials are issued by Men of Hunger at our discretion and may be limited, suspended or revoked at any time, with or without notice, including for inactivity, abuse or a security concern.
  • Keep your client secret, webhook secret and member tokens confidential and on your servers. Tell us promptly at feedback@menofhunger.com if any may have been exposed.
  • Do not share credentials with another party or use one client for several unrelated apps.

Member consent and data

  • Access only what a member has approved in the consent screen, and only for the purpose you described when requesting access.
  • Show members clearly that your app is connected to Men of Hunger and how to disconnect it.
  • When a member disconnects, revokes access, or their content becomes private or deleted (including through a webhook), stop using that data and delete what you cached within 30 days, keeping only identifiers you are legally required to retain.
  • Do not sell, rent or license Men of Hunger member data, use it for advertising profiles, or combine it with other data to identify or track members beyond what they approved.
  • Do not use the API to build a mirror, archive or competing service of Men of Hunger content.

Usage

  • Respect rate limits and Retry-After. Do not try to work around limits, scrape the website, or access data the API does not provide.
  • Do not use the API to send spam, harass members, or impersonate Men of Hunger or its members.
  • Link back to the canonical Men of Hunger URL when you display member content, and attribute it to its author.
  • The API is read-only. Do not represent your app as posting on behalf of members on Men of Hunger.

Branding

You may name Men of Hunger to describe the connection (for example, "Connect your Men of Hunger account"). Do not use our name or logo in a way that suggests endorsement or partnership without written permission.

Changes and availability

The API is provided "as is". We may change, rate-limit or discontinue endpoints, and will try to give notice of breaking changes. We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept it.
